Before beginning this application form please ensure you have the following:
· Filly/Mare Passport & IHR details
· Accurate dam & sire information
· Relevant filly/dam line performance information
· Recipient mare passport details
· IBAN (International Bank Account Number -a combination of letters and numbers that usually include your bank account number and sort code - this can be found on your bank statement or using banking online)
This scheme is open to all equine’s resident on the island of Ireland. The applicant must be the registered owner of the mare subject to this application. This scheme operates on a first come first served basis up to the maximum allocation facilitated by the existing budget allocation. Applicants may apply for up to two equines. Please read the scheme terms & conditions for performance criteria and eligibility before completing this form.
Please note that the closing date for receipt of applications is 5.00pm on Friday 30th September 2022 this deadline is final and will not be extended.
· Applicants must be the registered owner of the donor mare(s) subject to the application.
· Applicants must be resident in Ireland and can apply for a maximum of two ET’s.
· This scheme operates on a first come first served basis up to the maximum allocation facilitated by the existing budget allocation. Horse Sport Ireland reserve the right to close the scheme prior to the advertised deadline.
· NEW A requirement for this Scheme in 2022 is the applicant must provide Horse Sport Ireland with proof of registration of the foal in a Department of Agriculture, Food, and the Marine (DAFM) Approved Studbook. Foals must obtain a passport before 31st December of the year of birth or within 6 months following the date of its birth, whichever occurs later. If this is not provided the applicant will be exempt from this scheme for the following three years (2023-2025).
· Donor mares must meet all of the following eligibility criteria:
o Be registered/endorsed in a DAFM approved studbook.
o Be three years old or more.
o Meet veterinary requirements of the initial examination at the *Designated Veterinary Clinic as required.
o Provide verified results demonstrating that the mare meets the performance and/or progeny performance criteria outlined in Appendix 2. It is the responsibility of the applicant to ensure the donor mare meets the performance requirement. Applications received without verified results will not be processed.
· Traditional Irish Horse donor mares must meet all the following eligibility criteria:
o Be registered/endorsed in a DAFM approved studbook.
o Be three years old or more.
o Meet veterinary requirements of the initial examination at the *Designated Veterinary Clinic as required.
(And if oversubscribed will need to submit below performance)
o Provide verified results demonstrating that the mare meets the performance and/or progeny performance criteria outlined in Appendix 2a.
