The aim of the programme is to provide business training and support to ten creative business owners to help them develop their business and bring them from 0 – online sales in 6 months.
It will provide an online platform to connect our 10 chosen Creatives, in a community-driven learning environment which will enable these businesses to sell online and to feel supported during this process.
This programme enables participants to develop a network that can support the further development of your business.
By providing online learning, along with offline networking events and an offline product photography workshop, the programme is designed to be flexible and to allow participants to learn when and where suits them best.
Who is it suitable for?
Creatively talented people based in the Dún Laogahire Rathdown area who want to build a sustainable career and future in the vibrant creative and cultural industries. Our chosen 10 can be from a variety of disciplines, bringing together people with diverse yet complimentary skill sets and backgrounds.
People who want a flexible approach to learning – this innovative programme is web-based and can be carried out at a time and place of your choosing. The programme is designed to allow participants to be as flexible as possible, as we understand and appreciate the Creative process.

Apply online – closing date is Friday, January 24th at 10 pm.
Your application will be considered, and successful applicants will be notified on Wednesday, January 29th.
Cost:
The cost of the course is €150. This includes, on completion of the course, a six-month membership of The Biscuit Factory, an online community driven business school for creatives, which will provide access to ongoing training and support.
COURSE OUTLINE
The DLR Creatives course will take place over six months, with an anticipated start date in February 2020.
The programme consists of six online modules , an offline photography workshop, launch event and debrief event.
The online modules can be taken at your own pace through the given month with full support from your dedicated trainer in your very own private support group.
It is an initiative of LEO DLR and will be coordinated by Tara Prendergast, Programme Manager.
Programme details as follows:
February: Introductory event, venue and date to be agreed
Brand Audit – Development of an identified and documented Brand strategy.
March: Ideal Client – Defining a target market and route to market.
April: Social Training – Gaining a minimum of 100 followers on Facebook and Instagram.
May: Images that Sell - Product photography skills. Photography workshop, venue and date to be arranged.
June: The Numbers Revenue compliant, accounting system complete to trade.
July: Online Selling Online e-commerce shop front live and sales target hit.
Offline networking event pre-wrap up.
Ongoing: Weekly meditation practice
July - Dec 2020: Full membership of The Biscuit Factory to provide continued support and training.
